As the connections here are rather poor, we recommend that you find out in advance or take a taxi if necessary. Travelling by car: Coming from the north towards Cologne. From Cologne, take the A 1 towards Euskirchen to the end of the motorway at the Blankenheim exit. Then drive through Blankenheim and follow the road for about 10 minutes until you reach Ahrhütte. Coming from the south, take the A 48 Koblenz - Trier motorway, exit at Ulmen; take the B 257 towards Nürburgring, then the B 258 towards Blankenheim until you reach Ahrhütte.

The house was built in 1677 as an administrative building for the former ironworks. It belonged to the territory of the Dukes of Arenberg. Not much remains of the iron mining industry in the Eifel, some things can only be guessed at. This also changed the history of the building. The former administrative building became a hotel, then the retirement home of a priest, then a private residence and now a holiday home. The house is modern and brightly furnished. Some old furniture is an eye-catcher, ensuring that the character of the house has been preserved while still allowing you to enjoy the comforts of today.
