Three kilometres away is an indoor swimming pool with water slide - Indore playground in Medemblik - for children up to 16 years approx. 5 km away. The nearest harbour is in Medemblik - with its historic railway station and dyke with jetty for boat trips. In Enkuizen there is another large Indore swimming pool directly adjacent to a fine sandy beach by the sea. Spokjesland, also in Enkuizen, for children up to the age of 12, is a popular attraction for young families or grandparents with grandchildren. Medemblik, only 5 km away, with its dreamy harbour and good restaurants, invites you to stroll, shop and then enjoy a good meal. From here, large ships depart for round trips and the small nostalgic Bimmel railway takes you to Hoorn and back. The steam engine museum and bakery museum take you back to the good old days.
