Bodenmais is the most popular holiday resort in the Bavarian Forest. It is known for its mine and the Silberberg. Bodenmais lies deep in the Bavarian Forest, south-west at the foot of the Großer Aber, with a population of around 3400. Sights include the visitor mine on the Silberberg with a show mine and several glass-blowing factories. The largest and most famous is the Joska glass-blowing factory.
